Tesla hat das Model-3-Angebot überarbeitet und gestrafft: Der Autopilot ist nun Standard. Weitere Änderungen betreffen den Online-Konfigurator, so wird unter anderem das bisherige Grundmodell nur noch auf Anfrage verkauft. Auch eine Leasing-Option für die USA ist neu.
Der ab sofort bei allen Fahrzeugen ab Werk aktivierte Autopilot kostet nach der jüngsten Anpassung umgerechnet um die 1000 Euro weniger. Wer auf das Fahrerassistenzsystem verzichten wollte, kann dies allerdings nicht mehr. Für das jetzt auch in Deutschland verfügbare, aktuell erschwinglichste Model 3 “Standard Range Plus” verlangt Tesla 44.500 Euro. Dafür gibt es Hinterradantrieb, 415 Kilometer Reichweite und eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 225 km/h.
Die Verknüpfung des Autopiloten mit dem Model-3-Kauf erklärt Tesla so: “Wir glauben, dass der Autopilot sehr wichtig ist, da unsere Daten stark darauf hindeuten, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Unfalls mit aktiviertem Autopiloten viel niedriger ist. Der Autopilot sorgt zudem für ein dramatisch besseres Fahrerlebnis, insbesondere bei starkem Verkehr, dazu gibt es im Netz Tausende Berichte unserer Kunden.”
Das erst vor kurzem in den USA in das Angebot aufgenommene Model 3 zum Preis von 35.000 US-Dollar vor Steuern wurde aus dem Online-Konfigurator entfernt und ist nur noch auf Anfrage über das Telefon oder in einer Tesla-Filiale erhältlich. Der Preis des ab dieser Woche ausgelieferten “Model 3 Standard Range” inklusive Autopilot ist derzeit nicht bekannt. Auch konkrete Angaben zum Europa-Start gibt es weiter nicht.
Beim neuen 35.000-Dollar-Model 3 handelt es sich um ein via Software gedrosseltes “Model 3 Standard Range Plus”, teilte Tesla mit. Die Reichweite falle 10 Prozent niedriger aus, außerdem seien diverse Funktionen deaktiviert – darunter Musik-Streaming und beheizte Sitze. Die Limitierungen können nachträglich gegen Aufpreis aufgehoben werden, aus dem “Model 3 Standard Range” wird dann ein “Model 3 Standard Range Plus”. Letzteres wird Tesla zufolge sechsmal so oft nachgefragt wie die darunter angesiedelte Variante.
Käufer, die bereits ein “Model 3 Standard Range Plus” erworben haben, können auf Wunsch aus ihrem Fahrzeug ein “Model 3 Standard Range” machen, merkte Tesla an. Die Preisdifferenz werde zurückerstattet. Neben dem Einstiegs-Model-3 ist auch das “Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive” ab sofort nur noch auf Anfrage erhältlich. Bis auf die erschwinglichste Ausführung fahren damit alle im Online-Konfigurator aufgeführten Model 3 mit Allradantrieb.
Mit der erneuten Anpassung des Model-3-Portfolios sollen Kosten optimiert, Komplexität verringert und Prozesse gestrafft sowie der Autopilot günstiger gemacht werden, begründete Tesla die Maßnahme.
In den USA bietet Tesla das Model 3 nun auch über eine Leasing-Option mit einer Anzahlung und monatlichen Raten an. Alle Versionen sind verfügbar und können für 16.000, 19.000 oder 24.000 Kilometer pro Jahr gemietet werden. Eine Besonderheit: Der Kauf nach Ende der Laufzeit ist nicht möglich – Tesla will die gebrauchten Fahrzeuge selbst einsetzen.
Der Tesla Autopilot soll schon bald vollautonomes Fahren ermöglichen. Die Leasing-Rückläufer will das Unternehmen für den Aufbau einer eigenen Carsharing-Flotte nutzen. Zu der Vision von Tesla-Chef Elon Musk gehört, später mit selbstfahrenden Elektroautos Mobilitätsdienste anzubieten. Demnächst soll es dazu mehr Informationen geben.
